  Co-curricular Activities  
 
Objective:
 
 
  To give children ample opportunities for self expression.  
  To teach social co-operation by providing experiences in group living.  
  To make children aware of their social responsibilities.  
  To prepare children for better leadership and fellowship.  
  To develop in children high standards of aesthetic sense, ethics, discipline, sportsmanship and social spirit.  
  To give them training in democratic citizenship.  
 
  Activities:  
 

House System: To facilitate healthy competition and co-operation among students, the entire school is divided into four houses. Inter-house competitions are conducted in Literacy and Cultural activities and in games and sports.

Literacy Activities: Public speaking and formal debating are the two main forms of oral expression in which systematic training is given. The school magazine, manuscript magazine serves as a medium for written expression. Competitions at Inter KV level in declamation, debate, drama, painting etc. are conducted. Thorough practice is given to the students to help them take part in the competition.

Dramatic & Cultural Activities: Regular practice is given in acting, dance and music during CCA periods. Most of these activities will be over by the end of December.

Games & Sports: Coaching is given to boys and girls in Hockey, Volley Ball, Handball, Cricket, Football, Shuttle-Badminton, Table Tennis, Kho-Kho, Kabaddi and Basket Ball. Competitions in games and sports are conducted at the regional and national Levels.

Club Activities: To enable students to develop their latent talents and interests, Science club, Nature club and Adventure club, Literary club activities are conducted periodically.

Excursions and Picnics: Children are taken educational trips to places of interest.

SCOUTS: Scouting is in educational movement based on open air games. Scouts and Guides learn through play way methods which bring integral development in a child. They become good leaders as well as good followers and true citizens of the country. They ever remain physically fit and mentally alert and morally upright. They become self-reliant and face the challenges of life confidently with the motto of "Be Prepared" and 'service to others'. The total change of attitude that comes in the children makes the parents and country feel proud of them. The sustained activities of scouting movement are always an interesting and amusing project for students and a solution to parents' worries. Students from class VI are enrolled as Scouts or Guides.

  
  NOTE:  
 
  1. Badges, shoulder badges, buckles and Woggles will be supplied by the National Association of Bharat Scouts abd Guides on payment.
  2. Parents are requested to arrange dresses latest by the first week of August.
  
 

YOGA

"Yoga practice is given to the entire school in the morning assembly to refresh and rejuvenate the mind and physique of the students. Special yoga periods also allotted for each class from classes VI to XII"
